What Makes Naida Lumity Special
The PRISM chip in the Naida Lumity offers innovative technology that takes processing and connectivity possibilities to a whole new level. Naida Lumity devices allow hands-free phone calls using both Android and iPhone. The device has impressive listening tech onboard, including a motion sensor that focuses sound when you are seated and gives 360° listening when you walk around.
The Naida Lumity improves on previous Phonak generations with increased clarity in background noise. This advanced technology is especially helpful for those who struggle to hear in complex, dynamic environments thanks to Comfort in Echo, Speech in Car, and Speech in Loud Noise programs.
Thanks to the Speech Enhancer feature, you'll even hear soft talkers or grandchildren, ensuring you capture the true essence of conversations. Worried about windy days? The WindBlock technology shields you from gusts of wind while still delivering exceptional sound quality.
Our Take
Phonak is one of the best options out there for Bluetooth connectivity, especially for Android users. We love their powerful processing capability in the Paradise PRISM chip and smooth listening experience. Patients report great sound quality in addition to their user-friendly app.
However, before selecting Phonak, there are a few other points to consider. If you’re looking for a “Find My Hearing Aid” feature, it’s not available at this time with Phonak. Many patients with more severe hearing loss, such as Phonak Naida wearers, may find this an essential feature. Additionally, with the larger processing power comes a larger battery for those who opt for the disposable battery option with telecoil.

Phonak Naida Lumity is a prescription product and will require working with an audiologist or hearing care professional in person. Typically, this device is fit with an earmold, which requires a hearing care professional to take a mold of your ear. After sending in your ear impressions, it takes several weeks to receive the earmolds and fit you with the new devices. After establishing care with your provider, you may do follow-up visits via telehealth.
The Phonak Naida Lumity comes in several technology levels. Each device looks identical from the outside, but on the inside, each technology level offers more sophisticated sound processing and special features. In general, wearers opt for the top technology they can reasonably afford.
The key differences between the 50, 70, and 90 mostly come down to the ability of the device to manage background noise and level of customization your hearing care professional has in the software.
